AAS Degree Requirements

The outline below lists courses offered through UWC Online that fulfill the UW Colleges AAS degree requirements. For a list of all UW Colleges courses that will fulfill the AAS degree requirements, please consult the UW Colleges Catalog.

UW Colleges Online makes every attempt to keep this information current and accurate. However, information is subject to change from semester to semester and instructor to instructor. Please consult with an academic advisor.

Degree Requirements

  1. A minimum of 60 credits is required.
  2. The UW Colleges General Education Requirements must be fulfilled.
  3. At least 24 of the 60 credits must be completed within the UW Colleges, or at least 12 of the last 24 credits must be earned within the UW Colleges.
  4. A student must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 earned at the UW Colleges and a 2.0 overall GPA in credits applied to the Associate of Arts and Science Degree.
  5. Students must be enrolled at a UW Colleges campus (this includes UWC Online) during the semester in which the degree requirements are completed or have earned 60 degree credits prior to transferring from a UW College to a baccalaureate degree granting institution.

General Degree Requirements

I. Core Requirements

A grade of C or better in, or exemption from, the following:

The writing and mathematics requirements and their prerequisites may not be used to satisfy a breadth requirement when used to satisfy a core requirement.

II. Breadth Requirements

A. Fine Arts and Humanities

A student must earn a minimum of nine (9) credits with at least one course designated as Fine Arts and at least one course designated as Humanities.
