I choose to enroll in online courses because it was so much more convenient for me. I was attending UW-Whitewater but I got into a serious car accident and I had to put my education on hold for a couple years.
When I decided to go back to college, an online education was the right choice for me. Over the years I have had exceptional teachers and have learned a lot. Overall, I have had a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
I would suggest online education to anyone that has self-motivation. It is a wonderful way to take classes without having to go to school. Nobody can use the excuse they don't have time to "go" to school!
Online classes are the answer!

UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
I chose to take online courses because I could work around my work and parenting schedules.
Though they were more difficult because there was no face-to-face interaction, I felt more satisfied with my work and progress because it took discipline and dedication.
The professors were amazing, and I enjoyed working with the students that participated in my classes.

Continued Education Plans:
Attend online classes (preferably), at another institution to major in either Psychology/Education or International Politics.
Future Career Plans:
I have considered becoming either a middle or high school guidance counselor, or to be involved in International Politics in some capacity.
The field of psychology intrigues me greatly, but I am not yet certain where that could take me. My greatest hope would be to combine something in the fields of Psychology and International Politics!
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
I chose to take my courses online because I currently work full time, have 3 young children, and have a spouse that travels.
This allowed me the flexibility to do most of my course work after my children had gone to sleep, or were busy doing other activities. I was able to complete my work while not feeling like I was taking time away from them.
If I couldn't have done my courses online, I do not think I would have chosen now to pursue my dreams of a degree!

UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
While I have mixed emotions about my online educational experience, I opted for an online degree program for three reasons.
First, having been out of college for approximately six years, I thought that a distance-learning program would be the least stressful way for me to resume my education-as the thought of attending classes with people who were six years my junior was, simply put, quite intimidating.
Second, as I have worked and continue to work full-time, the structure of the "online class time" seemed likely to be more flexible and accommodating of my work and life schedule than a typical face-to-face class.
For instance, being able to "attend" class twenty-four hours a day rather than during a specified, two-hour window as is typical of face-to-face classes. And third, the tuition of an online education was far more affordable than a face-to-face education would have been.
