Attend classes at UW-La Crosse or WWTC to major in English with a writing emphasis.
Future Career Plans:
I plan to continue with my current employer, but once school is completed, I will have more time to write. My dream is to become a published (and preferably best-selling,) novelist.
This degree is a stepping-stone to bigger and better things, and I plan to go back to college once I spend some time giving my family the attention they deserve for putting up with busy, busy me for the last two years.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
Once I decided to go back to college, UWC Online was the perfect decision. The nearest UW campus is nearly 45 minutes away, and it would have been impossible to work full-time, have a family, and complete face-to-face classes.
Don't get me wrong, online classes can be tough, - they are every bit as time consuming as face-to-face classes, sometimes even more so because of the "active participant" you are expected to be. However, these classes can be attended in your pajamas, if you want.
(Personally, I did this more often than not.) They are asynchronous - meaning you don't have to log on at the same exact time as everyone else - but there is a heavy expectation that homework and tests be completed by their deadlines.
Sometimes I felt like giving up, it took me two-and-a-half years to finish my AAS degree, but I did it! I would recommend UWC Online to anyone who has the drive to further their education, but not necessarily the time to spend driving to and from class. Now, I have a great stepping stone to future endeavors, and my family couldn't be prouder!

Continued Education Plans:
Attend classes at UW-Eau Claire or online classes at the UW to major in Mathematics or Actuarial Science with maybe a minor in teaching.
Future Career Plans:
Anything with numbers, but not accounting.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
It is definitely harder than to go to campus, there is more work involved. I take online classes though because of my disabilities and it makes it easier for me to get around, all I have to do is walk to my computer.
