I plan to get my license in Social Work and find a job (about 2 years), and at the same time continue to take classes to get my Masters in Social Work. After that, if I am not sick of taking classes, I may go further in Psychology as well.

I chose to take online classes because I am a 40-ish nontraditional student. I also have a back injury that keeps me down sometimes. And, I am a single mom to a high school student so relocation wasn't an option and driving to a brick and mortar school would have been too much. My online experience has been awesome; I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering returning to school. The instructors and fellow students have been great and willing to help whenever I needed it.

UW Colleges Online Education Experience:
I began taking online courses due to my time constraints as active duty Military. I came across UW-Colleges Online after coming to the awareness that there was a 100% transfer rate to other UW Colleges. There also is a really cool program in the Letters and Science college at UW-Madison, where they will waive all general education requirements if you have obtained an associates degree in Arts & Sciences and any UW College. All in all, the online experience was different. It was challenging, and it was enlightening. Probably one of the strongest traits I will carry, coming out of the online program, will be my increased ability to study course material independently from a book, as opposed to being completely dependent on lectures. For me, I find this to be a very valuable trait.
