High School Student Programs

UW Colleges Online offers many opportunities for high school students to earn college credit including Early College Credit Program, Dual Credit and Concurrent Credit options. For a complete list of details, including how to apply, please visit the UW Colleges High School Student Programs page.

Application Process for Summer

To apply, submit the following to the UW Colleges Admissions Office:

  1. UW System Application for the term you intend to enroll for undergraduate admissions. In the application, make sure to select:
    • Applying to: UW Colleges Online
  2. An approved Early College Credit Program Form
  3. An official high school transcript.
  4. AP test scores or college transcript to verify pre-requisites have been met (if applicable).

After a student is admitted, the student will receive additional communication via his or her UW Colleges student email account. It is important that students begin checking this account.

Application Process for Fall 2019

Starting with the Fall 2019 semester UW Colleges Online will become UW College Courses Online and will be making online courses available to ECCP students for the academic year 2019-2020!  

Next academic year (AY19-20), UW College Courses Online will be available to high school students wishing to take online courses through the Early College Credit Program (ECCP).  To keep things as streamlined as possible, UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha will admit and register all ECCP students participating in ECCP through UW College Courses Online.   Below are the procedures for Online courses.  

High School Students and Counselors Should...  

1. Fill out ECCP application expressing their intent to take ECCP courses and submit to their high school  

2. Apply to UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha

    a. University of Wisconsin application (

    b. Apply as UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha student  

3. Submit High School Transcript (and ECCP form) through high school counselors to UWM by August 1, 2019.  

4. High schools should inform UW-Milwaukee by August 1, 2019, of final list of high school students with all materials submitted.   

UW-Milwaukee is flexible on the March 1, 2019, deadline. Expressions of intent as soon after that deadline are appreciated. Please direct any questions to Kathleen Breuer, 414-229-6357,

UWM will release the Fall 19 schedule on March 25 at  The UW College Courses Online sections will be scheduled in the College of General Studies subject codes and all have section numbers that end with an alpha character of E (e.g., section 201E) along with room locations of ONLINE WEB. Some courses will be restricted to ECCP enrollments.
